[ Featuring the Blooms ]
Would the colours find your eyes
If you went searching for the northern lights?
Or would your sickness cloud over
You mystic, you rover
All the beauty you were hoping to find?
When you saw them dance, did you whistle
And tempt them to come steal your life?
Or was your position to throw out superstition?
Did you hold a faint hope that they might?
When that Aurora
Blew up for ya
Did I cross your mind?
That old Borealis
It don't care about us
But I would scream out at those lights
All your friends say that your dark brown eyes
Turned a fiery green that night
When atom and ion
Gave the earth to you to lie on
And taught you it was senseless to fight
With your face in the sand, you remembered
That you came here with no guarantees
So you gave up insisting
Jettisoned resisting
And walked hand-in-hand with your disease
When that Aurora
Blew up for ya
Did I cross your mind?
That old Borealis
It don't care about us
But I would scream out at those lights
That our love was real
Like magnetic fields
And the sun's wind when they danced in our eyes
