Genesis 1:4 KJV
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness
How did God see the difference, when the line between is so blurred
'Cause when we hurt we begin see the grey area as comfort
I saw a star of hope in you, sith wings I pleaded to mend
But sometimes our wings are broken not from the world, but from within
I sought to help, I sought to love
I sought to feel, I sought to trust
Yet in the end I suffered and found my arms with sleeves
Wishing I would've done the right thing that fateful day
Divided what I wanted from your horrid imagery
Yes, I sold you many gifts
Some that I wish were not delivered
For my words, body, and soul were tainted by your cruelty.
So how did God see the difference, when the line between is so blurred
You were so passionate and caring
Yet ignorant and brooding
For the world, for yourself, for your friends and for me
And I wish you could see, the way my mind screamed
'Cause while you were asleep, I recalled our memories
Where when you looked at me, you smiled; you were happy
But maybe with time as I write piece by piece
You'll see it as I bleed
SOMETHING FOR YOU
