Prairie Anthem - My Place In Life Lyrics

Prairie Anthem - My Place In Life Lyrics

Never been much of anything, just an ordinary soul, a complicated simple man
Settled in my ways and changin' kinda slow, seems the more I learn, the less I understand

Throughout my life I've had some foolish dreams that would call to me every now and then
And though I love the life I'm livin' I admit there were times, when I wondered, what might have been

But now, I don't chase those foolish dreams anymore; they've all scattered in the wind
Just give me some of that love from the Good Lord up above
And some time to spend with my family and my friends

I'm thankful for my family and thankful for my friends; I count my blessings every night
I'm thankful for the time given to me and I'm thankful for my place in life

Now, I can't say what the future holds, I'm just part of a grander plan
But, as for here and now I have my peace of mind and I'm content to be right where I am

And now, I don't chase those foolish dreams anymore; they've all scattered in the wind
Just give me some of that love from the Good Lord up above
And some time to spend with my family and my friends
Some time to spend with my family and my friends
