I remember a time not too long ago
Home cooked meals with family were the perfect recipe
But lately I can't go without
The smell of Christmas holidays
Wish i had that everyday
I want to go back
Want to go back to the days when we were younger
I want to go back
Want to go back and say the things now I know better
But life doesn't work that way
So hear me out cause I might sound crazy
I'm gonna get me a caravan just to use on the holidays
And when it's bruised I'll patch it up so it can drive again
No matter the town I'm going
The trip's never too long
I'm gonna ride this highway home
Until I can't no more
Pull out the collage from 2004
There's a bunch of faces that I can't recall
But there's many that I can't forget
There's something bout a photograph that the heart clings to
Even though they cannot hold me now
I know their love was true
I want to go back
Want to go back to the days when we were younger
I want to go back
Want to go back and say the things now I know better
But life doesn't work that way
So hear me out cause I might sound crazy
I'm gonna get us a caravan to do the things we never do
No time for the fancy cars or 3 star bars
They're such old news
Imagine we could look on as the sun melts in the deep deep blue
And name all the stars we can
'Cause street lights and lamps can't outshine the moon
No it ain't easy
Not at all
But I'm learning how to carry on
But I'm learning how to carry on
So I'm saving up for a caravan just to spend more time with you
No beating 'round the bush wanna tell you the truth
But even if we don't meet tomorrow
I hope someday we do
