On a faraway island lies a
Nice society with no violence
Sounds quite pie in the sky but
Looking up high, there's nothing but peace and quiet
One step outside, you'll find that
Everything's covered in Dandelions
Tall as the eyelids, going for miles
Foreigners say I'm dandy lying
They're thinking it's hocus pocus
Little do they know there's a horde of locusts
Approaching the coast
And there's only
One man bold enough to approach them
He punches em out till his fists are broken
Kung fu killing them in slow motion
But when he returns back home
It wasn't a hero's welcome they showed him
Oh
You walk a lonely road
So walk back home
All we know
Is peace and love and hope
It's overgrown
But
You clash with gladiators
Wrangle masses of alligators
Telling tales about space invaders could pose a danger to all our neighbors
Wasting all your life away just warding off some omens
Going toe to toe with these faux foes and
And you never once stopped to smell the roses
So much anger, so much commotion
Seems unholy when juxtaposed with
Holding a rose below your proboscis
And it seemed suspicious
When he witnessed a little kid
With no supervision, sniffing whiffs
And then lit a wick in the thick of hibiscus
He met his match but never had concern
That all societies lose the first
Person who learns that fire burns
Quick, he searched for a way to save him
No fire hydrants, just hydrangea
Braving the blaze he raced to his aid
But the scars that remained were met with disgrace
Oh
You walk a lonely road
So walk back home
All we know
Is peace and love and hope
It's overgrown
But
You clash with gladiators
Wrangle masses of alligators
Telling tales about space invaders could pose a danger to all our neighbors
Wasting all your life away just warding off some omens
Going toe to toe with these faux foes and
And you never once stopped to smell the roses
Not every flower has petals on top
見えない花が一つありました
見ぬが花
But when our hero saw that he's missing such a blissful whimsy
Got him thinking, if you're always working, are you really living?
He hopped off the fence
Frolicked through the meadow-lands
And left behind the thought of threats
With every breath so succulent
Everyone followed like an apostle
Waving their palms right under his nostrils
And he sure did sniff 'em well
Till there were no more roses left to smell
