The Sound the Birds Made Video (MV)

Well you know I never really heard the sound the birds made
'till the government bought me a hearing aid

But it was the size of my finger, big plug in both ears
Couldn't wear that thing to school or anywhere near

Well you see I had perfect hearing 'till the age of 4
Doctor made a bad mistake so I don't hear well anymore

And yes I've seen the look of sorry in my mothers eyes
For that day that she had me anaesthetised

Well in my 40's I looked at getting hearing aids again
But its ten thousand dollars I resent having to spend
So I've got a cheap one in one ear that's getting me through
But it must be nice to hear the things that get whispered to you
