The New York Times and the BBC
They think you're stupid and too blind to see
You may read The Guardian or Daily Mail
But either way, all facts are for sale
When it becomes apparent that they have lied
They just shrug their shoulders and say never mind
They lied about Watergate and Vietnam
Campaigns and elections, an obvious scam
Tories or labor, they're all the same
And you're taking part in their treacherous game
And when in the end you have picked a side
They'll just laugh in your face and go: never mind
They play with your future and livelihood
In Washington, London and Hollywood
The Federal Bureau and MI5
They're always behind you, trust them with your life
But if it is truth you're trying to find
You'll hit a brick wall with a sign: never mind
They'll lie all the time and they get good pay
They lie about Nixon and JFK
Stock market is down, unemployment is high
The talking heads feed you a portion of lies
But when a disaster strikes, you're in a bind
They'll give you one answer, and it's never mind
Full frontal lobotomy, burgers and fries
A game of sports and an earful of lies
It's not just your family, neighbors and friends
A real cornucopia, it never ends
But if you're looking for some kind of sign
The man on TV will just say never mind
