You'll see the questions on their faces
For the buried ones who've never asked
You'll never see what that embraces
Or what's behind that crazy mask
The creed it surely must have answers
Interpretations of the past
But all I read inside those pages
Are twisted history books at best
In fact, it clouds the right or wrong
And only leads to one direction
I guess I can pretend to smile
For a while yeah, if it's a good cause
Not voice my own opinions too
Am I allowed to look away when I want?

The voice of treason turns to reason
There's deceit that hides the truth
Prayers so calm with trust yet brazen
The joyful praises of our youth
Torture those with other choices
And prey on those folks who are lost
Then make rash judgements ever changing
And sacrifice no care the cost
Chamber of suffering
Left to judge all these things I can't explain
These souls your praises bring
Is it control or just insane
Do I just stand here and pretend to smile
