A sailship has departed from the port
Once again I wish I were on board
Like I used to be long years ago
To navigate the open sea again
And witness endurance of men
Brave enough to face raging elements
Back then we were racing to stick a flag
To virgin grounds and mark them to a map
Made new paths through mountains and sand
But many of us never made it home
Everyday we put our own lives at stakes
And tempted the fates
For our names to be known always
Into the unknown
Courageous enterprise
Age of the unknown
To be overcome
In those days we sailed to distant lands
Pioneers of southern seas
Conquerors of cold north
Craving mysteries beyond horizon
We pressed on to catch at least a sight
Of them all
Now that we've been everywhere
And conquered the Earth
One day we'll fly to the stars
Now that we know every place
Maybe it's finally time
To explore the deepest corners
Of our own minds
In those days we sailed to distant lands
Pioneers of southern seas
Conquerors of cold north
Craving mysteries beyond horizon
We pressed on to catch at least a sight
Of them all
In those days we sailed to distant lands
Pioneers of southern seas
Conquerors of cold north
Craving mysteries beyond horizon
We pressed on to catch at least a sight
