Finally figured out in life
What I was meant to do
And even better I found a crew
Who saw it the way I do
We made a plan
A vow to see it through
At least, that is what I thought that we would do

Should have seen the signs
Caught on to their plot
But I was blinded by the prospects
Avoid the norm
We will make it our own way
But that didn't happen

Should have made a right
Instead I made a left
And now
I'm just trying
To find my way back
Through these trees and over this mountain
I've got to figure this out

I've gave them all I could afford
They needed more
I was left drained upon the floor

And threw me out when they were done
I wish I had the strength to fight
But the damage has already been done

It took me all these years
To realize I had nothing to fear
I wasted all that time
Living with doubt in my mind
And now I'm on my way back
