Sometimes I decide where I should be
Sometimes life happens to be
I always was the type of kid who thought that life was endless
I won't age, forever young was my prediction
School days was better ones, but my attendance
Was a fail in society's eyes, cause I'm a menace
I was taught to be like everyone else, but my attention
Was hyperactive, the right of passage was my admission
Into the streets without thinking, like I was senseless
The first stop I made, was juvenile detention
On my way to the top, no stop, no time to listen
To people telling me to look out for what I was missing
Self destruction, no structure, and a blinded vision
Clouded judgment, cause drugs stayed inside my system
Second stop I made was county jail and my conviction
Was first degree burglary, my first strike offense
I was stuck in that frame of mind, that's a mindless picture
Cause two strikes, six years, all the time I spent in the penitentiary
Wasn't ever my intention
I always was the type of kid who thought that life was endless
I won't age, forever young
I always was the type of kid who thought that life was endless
I won't age, forever young
I always was the type of kid who thought that life was endless
I won't age, forever young was my prediction
And these days I have to live with my decisions
Choices I made that got me kinda distant
From my family members now when I can sense it
But why would I care about any type of tension
Between me and the ones in my bloodline and lineage
Almost all of us have done time in prison
But what makes them think that maybe I was different
It's a war outside I couldn't spend life defenseless
I was raised around all these trife conditions
Where kids nowadays is carrying knives and pistols
All because they're products of their environment
Nobody took the time or ever tried to fix it
Politicians and police trying to cop position
Stagnate anyone who's of the opposition
But revealing these truths is truly my commitment
Why wouldn't it be
To live forever young
I always was the type of kid who thought that life was endless
I won't age, forever young was my prediction
I'm in the matrix but life isn't science fiction
I found my purpose and learned why I am living
Changed my destiny with rhymes that I have written
Be in my children's life and give them guidance in it
Let them know you only got one life to live in
It's not endless so always stay optimistic
I won't age, forever young
I always was the type of kid who thought that life was endless
I won't age, forever young
I won't age, forever young
I won't age, forever young
