I'll Close My Eyes
by Dinah Washington

I'll Close My Eyes
From the Movie "The Bridge of Madison County"
Performed by Dinah Washington

Heaven sends
A song through its doors
Just as if it seems to know
I'm exclusively yours

Knowing this
I feel but one way
You will understand too
In these words that I say

I'll close my eyes
To everyone but you
And when I do
I'll see you standing there

I'll lock my heart
To any other caress
I'll never say yes
To a new love affair

Then I'll close my eyes
To everything that's gay
If you are not there
Oh, to share each lovely day

And through the years
In those moments
When we're far apart
Don't you know I'll close my eyes
And I'll see you with my heart

Easy Living
by Johnny Hartman

Living for you is easy living
It's easy to live when you're in love
And I'm so in love
There's nothing in life but you

I never regret the years that I'm giving
They're easy to give when you're in love
I'm happy to do, whatever I do for you

For you, maybe I'm a fool, but it's fun
People will say you rule me with one wave of your hand
Darling, it's grand, they just don't understand

Living for you is easy living
It's easy to live when you're in love
And I'm so in love
There's nothing in life but you

Blue Gardenia
by Dinah Washington

Blue gardenia
Now I'm alone with you
And I am also blue

He has tossed us aside
And like you, gardenia
Once I was near his heart

After the tear drops start
Where are tear drops to hide?

I lived for an hour
What more can I tell?

Love bloomed like a flower
Then the petals fell

Blue gardenia
Thrown to a passing breeze
But pressed
Yes, there pressed in my book of memories

I lived for an hour
What more can I tell?

Love bloomed like a flower
And then the petals fell

Blue gardenia
Thrown to a passing breeze
But pressed
In my book of memo-ries
But pressed
In my book of memo-ries

I See Your Face Before Me
by Johnny Hartman

I see your face before me
Crowding my every dream
There is your face before me
You are my only theme
It doesn't matter where you are
I can see how fair you are
I close my eyes and there you are
Always
If you could share the magic
If you could see me too
There would be nothing tragic
In all my dreams of you
Would that my love could haunt you so
Knowing I want you so
I can't erase
Your beautiful face before me.

Would that my love could haunt you so
Knowing I want you so
I can't erase
Your beautiful face before me.

Soft Winds
by Dinah Washington

[ Featuring Hal Mooney, His Orchestra ]

Soft winds whisper
Sweet words to my love
Soft winds, tell him
The dreams I'm dreaming of

He's gone too long
I'm on the blue sea
Find him, soft winds
And bring him back home to me

Blow, blow soft winds
I'm on the blue sea
Tell him, soft winds
I'm sad and lonely

Since he left me
My heart is empty
Blow, blow, soft winds
And bring him back home to me

(Soft winds whisper
Soft winds tell her
She's gone too long
Find her, soft winds)

Blow, blow, soft winds
I'm on the blue sea
Tell him, soft winds
I'm sad and lonely
Since he left me
My heart is empty
Blow, blow, soft winds
And bring him right back to me (2x)

Blow, blow, soft winds
And bring him back home to me

Blow, blow, soft winds...

Baby I'm Yours
by Barbara Lewis

Hello Stranger
Barbara Lewis
Written by Barbara Lewis

Peaked at # 3 in 1963

(shoo-bop, shoo-bop, my baby)
(shoo-bop, shoo-bop)

Hello, stranger
(ooh) It seems so good to see you back again
How long has it been?
(ooh, seems like a mighty long time)
(shoo-bop, shoo-bop, my baby, ooh)
It seems like a mighty long time

Oh-uh-oh, I my, my, my, m
I'm so glad
You stopped by to say "hello" to me
Remember that's the way it used to be
Ooh, it seems like a mighty long time
(shoo-bop, shoo-bop, my baby, ooh)
It seems like a mighty long time

Lewis sings a series of "oh-uh-oh's"on both sides of "I'm so glad you're here
again" while backups do 7 (shoo-bop, shoo-bop, my baby)'s

Oh-ahh-uh-oh
If you're not gonna stay
(ooh) Please don't treat me like you did before
Because I still love you so a-a-although
It seems like a mighty long time
Shoo-bop, shoo-bop, my baby, ooh
It seems like a mighty long time

Lewis does " Oh-uh-oh, I my, my, my, my" and "I'm so happy that you're here
again" and backups repeat (shoo-bop, shoo-bop, my baby) to end

It's A Wonderful World
by Irene Kral

[ Featuring The Junior Mance Trio ]

It's a wonderful world
I'm just walking on air
Talk of heaven on earth
I've got more than my share
Haven't got a care
I'm happy all day through it

A wonderful world
Loving wonderful you

It's a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful world
I'm just walking...
Talk of heaven on earth
Well I'm talking...
Haven't got a care
Happy all day through...
It's a wonderful world
Loving wonderful you

It's a wonderful world

It Was Almost Like A Song
by Johnny Hartman

Once in every life... someone comes along,
And you came to me... it was almost like a song.
You were in my heart... right where you belong,
And we were so in love... it was almost like a song.

January through December... we had such a perfect year,
Then the flames became a dying ember...
All at once you weren't here.

Now my broken heart... cries for you each night,
And it's almost like a song... but it's much too sad to write.

Now my broken heart... cries for you each night,
And it's almost like a song... but it's much to sad to write...
Much too sad to write.

This Is Always
by Irene Kral

[ Featuring The Junior Mance Trio ]

This isn't sometimes, this is always.
This isn't maybe, this is always.
This is love,
The real beginning of forever,
This isn't just mid summer madness,
A passing glow, a moment's gladness,
Yes it's love.
I knew it on the night we met,
You tied a string around my heart,
So how can I forget you.
With every kiss I know that
This is always.

Yes it's love.
I knew it on the night we met,
You tied a string around my heart,
So how can I forget you.
With every kiss I know that
This is always.

For All We Know
by Johnny Hartman

For all we know we may never meet again
Before you go make this moment sweet again
We won't say "Good night" until the last minute
I'll hold out my hand and my heart will be in it

For all we know this may only be a dream
We come and go like a ripple on a stream
So love me tonight; tomorrow was made for some
Tomorrow may never come for all we know

So love me tonight; tomorrow was made for some
Tomorrow may never come for all we know
