My, oh my, I'm in my own mind again
Inescapable labyrinth
Shivers run across my skin
I know I can make myself fine again
Just maybe give me a minute
To try all my little tricks
Like looking for
Sunshine in the night
For never-ending light
So picturesque and bright
But they point at the sky and tell me I can fly
But all I do is run
They tell me not to stare at the sun
But I'm just stargazing
I'm aware I'm barely whispering
That's why no one's listening
Don't even know what I'm feeling
I start to drown in shallow water
Why is breathing so much harder
Than I remember it being
I'm looking for
Sunshine in the night
For never-ending light
So picturesque and bright
But they point at the sky and tell me I can fly
But all I do is run
They tell me not to stare at the sun
But I'm just stargazing
Did you find your way back home
When I left you on your own
You were lost out in the cold
While I was looking for
Sunshine in the night
So I could always hide
But maybe it is time that I learn
To love the moonlight
And maybe then
I'll lower my defense
I'll hold the hand that feeds in the end
And never stargaze again
