John Bunt - The Four Horsemen Lyrics

John Bunt - The Four Horsemen Lyrics

Then I saw the Lamb break open
The first of the seven seals
And one of the holy creatures said
"Come" and it was done

I looked and saw a white horse
Its rider held a bow
And he was given a crown as well
And as conqueror told to go

He rode out from heaven
To begin the conquest of the earth
Swift victory is symbolized
Loveliest victory without death

Ride, white horse, ride
Ride into the sunlit sky
Quicken your hands and stride
And hold your head high, high
Ride, white horse, ride
Ride now, white horse, ride

Then I saw the Lamb break open
The second of the seven seals
And one of the holy creatures said
"Come" and it was done

I looked and saw a red horse
Its rider held a mighty sword
And he was given the power to start wars
By the authority of the Lord

He rode out from heaven
To take peace from the land
Men's blood would flow thick
Across the earthy sand

Ride, red horse, ride
Descend into the crimson sky
Quicken your warring stride
And hold your sword high, high
Ride, red horse, ride
Ride now, red horse, ride

Then I saw the Lamb break open
The third of the seven seals
And one of the holy creatures said
"Come" and it was done

I looked and saw a black horse
Its rider held a pair of scales
Famine to the land he would bring
There'll only be barley bales

And he rode out from heaven
To begin this awful dearth
Food and water would be magic
Across the entire earth

Ride, black horse, ride
Descend into the blackened sky
Quicken your darkly stride
And hold your scales high, high
Ride, black horse, ride
Ride now, black horse, ride

Then I saw the Lamb break open
The fourth of the seven seals
And one of the holy creatures said
"Come" and it was done

I looked and saw a pale horse
Its rider's name was Death
His companion Hades followed him
Like a hellish breath

And he rode out from heaven
Given authority by the Lord
To kill a quarter of mankind
By means of famine, disease and war

Ride, pale horse, ride
Descend into the ashen sky
Quicken your deathly stride
And slaughter humankind
So ride, pale horse, ride
Ride now, pale horse, ride
