I hear rain on windows falling
I can see it in her eyes
I can see it in the rise and the fall
As air enters her lungs
She's holding on to something
That's been undone for so long
Can't seem to let go as she's singing that sad, sad song
I say a prayer for the weak and hungry
As her hand falls into mine
As our eyes meet a tear rolls down her cheek
Realization of just how lucky we are
Cause we are
So I grasp her in my arms and hold on for dear life
Is it for me or her I'm squeezing her so tight
Tonight
So I'll wait until tomorrow hope answers rise with the sun
Till then I'm stuck in limbo
I don't have anywhere to run, to run
